ALEXANDRA (ALEX) WILSON

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker & Practice Director

Alex obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Sydney in 2003. Since then, she has had experience in both the public & private mental health sectors. Alex opened Mindful Recovery Services in 2010 & has built a reputation for high quality care within the NSW Central Coast community. 
Alex is passionate & highly skilled in CBT, DBT & trauma therapy. She operates from an anti-oppressive approach & advocates strongly for the challenging of stigma associated with mental illness.

JENNIFER GIBBONS

Clinical Team Leader & Counsellor

Jen has a Bachelor Degree in Counselling and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA Reg.30487). Jen has extensive experience working with children, young people, families and adults.  

Jen is a reflective and creative practitioner, and works holistically to empower and support people in their recovery and healing journey. 

Jen's areas of speciality include complex trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, dissociation, criminal justice, child protection/Children's Court, and working with First Responders including police and emergency medical professionals. 

Jen is trained in a range of different therapeutic modalities to ensure that treatment is tailored to each client's individual needs. These include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Jen is now welcoming new clients aged 10+. 

Jen also offers clinical supervision for counsellors, allied health, caseworkers and youth workers, as well as professional training and development.

Erin Mansfield

Erin has a Bachelor of Social Work and extensive experience in working therapeutically with young people, adults and their families.

Erin is a warm, compassionate and trauma-informed therapist with a focus on holistically understanding the challenges a person is facing. She is passionate about and experienced in providing counselling and treatment to those with sexual abuse/assault trauma, childhood trauma, moderate to severe substance use, PTSD, C-PTSD, dissociative disorders, personality disorders, and psychosis recovery.

Erin is trained in a range of evidence-based modalities that she will draw from based on a person’s individual needs and preferences. These include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focussed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and therapies for structural dissociation including parts work.
